Single Day Deschutes ( Upper and Lower) and Mckenzie River Floats :

If  your schedule prohibits spending 3 days with us how about a great full single day float. We have 3 basic options for river floats.

The single day Deschutes river float is our most popular option. We meet at FFP in Sisters or another convenient location in the morning and deport for our put in at Warm Springs boat ramp. The float generally lasts 8-10 hours depending on your schedule and we're flexible on meeting times and places. Its a beautiful section of the river and affords opportunities for all styles of fishing (dry fly, nymphing, euro nymphing and swinging). As with all fishing on the lower Deschutes, it is not legal to fish from the boat and so good wading boots ( metal studs )are a must ! A wading staff is also advisable.

Price: $550 for one or two anglers, $575 for 3 anglers.

Single Day "Upper Deschutes Float"

We also have the option of floating the " upper Deschutes " as it leaves Wickiup reservoir and winds its way through the Deschutes National Forest. It's an easy slow float with lots of casting opportunities and the chance to hook a very large brown trout.

Price: $550 for one or two anglers.

Single Day Mckenzie River Float

The Mckenzie River has a hallowed reputation. It is the river from which the modern day drift boat was born. We float a middle section of the river above Leburgh dam. The river is clean, clear and cold just the way we imagine a trout stream should be. While there are abundant wild rainbows, the Mckenzie also benefits from a robust hatchery program producing dry fly eager hatchery fish in the 10-20" range. The main attraction of the Mckenzie river float is that the angler is allowed to fish from the boat. In fact it is preferred as the the current is very swift. If you're a dry fly devotee, then this is the float you'll want.
